Apex K9 focuses on raising dogs with superior skills and personalities. We believe dogs should be an asset to a family not just a pet. Each and every one of our dogs is raised and tested in an environment which allows them to experience a variety of stimuli from birth.
From 3 days old our puppies are introduced to ENS and puppy culture training and from there, their foundation for obedience under stress is developed. As they continue to grow we challenge each pup to learn and adapt to loud noises, large crowds, unusual textures, heights, moving platforms, obstacles, water, and much more.
When we aren’t out training our big dogs, we work with our pups at home on basic puppy skills. They are surrounded in our home by other dogs, cats, and people of all ages, sizes, and personalities. The pups are immersed in a world of everyday family life and because of that, can easily adapt to the chaotic go go go of a young family or the slow-paced groove of a mature couple.
By the time pups go to their furever homes at 8 weeks, they have been primed to be housebroken and crate trained. Each pup leaves our home pottying in a designated tray in our puppy area, has been exposed to crates and crated travel, and has become accustomed to regular baths, brushing, and nail trimming.
